The Clangoustine is an enormous lobster made out of solid metal. While thematically similar to metal slimes , it is not known for its quickness or high experience point yield when defeated. Nevertheless it is an incredibly durable foe that can wear down unprepared adventurers.

Etymology
edit
Clangoustine is a pun on the words clang and langoustine , one of several names for Norway shrimp.
The reference to the monster's weight is reinforced in the Japanese language, where the name is a dual pun on heavy metal and shrimp .
