The Sluggerslaught is a monster in the series.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Sluggerslaughts are bizarre, bipedal flea-like monsters with red-orange skin known for their dancing abilities. They try to get opponents into the groove with their Sultry Dance, and if interrupted from their flouncing they use Follow Suit to mimic an enemies ability, hitting right back with the same attack. When the bugs reappeared in Dragon Quest IX, they also gained the ability to heal their fellow monsters with Hustle Dance and give a boost to their Tension by cheering them on. Its name is a combination of the words "slugger" and "onslaught".
