Water sedge
The Water sedge is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is a piece of seaweed with magical properties that is used as a crafting ingredient.

Dragon Quest X edit
Water sedge is used as a material in alchemy and sewing. It can be purchased from a material store for 160 gold, picked up from sparkly spots, or dropped by certain aquatic monsters.
Dragon Quest XI edit
Water sedge can be purchased from the roving emporium in the Heliodor Region during the second act or Nautica for 160 gold, received from sparkly spots at the Emerald Coast or Nautica, or dropped by King squids. The water sedge can only be used in one recipe for the Fun-Size Forge:
- Recipe: Magic vestment = Water sedge x3 + Royal soil x3 + Purple eye
