Cruel claw is used as a material for crafting pieces of equipment, in Lamp Alchemy to increase bind resistance on shields, or in Pot Alchemy to give a critical hit rate bonus to weapons or handwear. It can be purchased from a material shop for 120 gold each or dropped by various monsters, including Draguar, Great sabrecat, Hacksaurus, and Vampire cat.
Dragon Quest X Offline edit
Cruel claw is used as a material for the Fun-Size Forge. Once again, it can be purchased from a material shop for 120 gold each, picked up from sparkly spots, or dropped by various monsters, including Bullion, Demon steward, Draguar, Foo dog, Hellion, Pteranodon, Terrornodon, and Vampire cat.
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below edit
Cruel claw can be dropped by Hellions and Teeny sanguinis or received from King Flaminio in exchange for a single Mini medal on the Stonecloud. It can occasionally be found in barrels or treasure chests on the Stonecloud, as well. Cruel claw can be used to create Bunny tails and Scholar's specs in the Alchemy Pot or can be sold for 4 gold each.
