A whip with a long, purple barbed lash ending in a sharp, arrowhead-shaped tip with a hook. It has a handle with a red grip that is decorated with the design of a long-tailed purple demon holding a red orb.

The Demon whip has an Attack bonus of +72 and can be equipped by Jessica, as well as Red in the Nintendo 3DS version. However, it is cursed and has a 25% chance of stunning the wielder during battle. One is found in a treasure chest on 4F of the Dark Godbird's Eyrie and it has a 1⁄128 chance of being dropped by Hellstalker. It can be made in the Alchemy Pot and can also be used to create a Scourge whip by purifying it with an urn of Saint's ashes. The whip can be sold for 3,500 gold.

The recipe book The Devil's in the Details contains the recipe for the demon whip. It is found on a bookshelf in Jasper's Quarters at Heliodor Castle starting from act two.
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow edit
The Demon whip is a 2★ Dark-elemental whip with a Magical Might bonus of +35 at level 1. Its Coup de Grâce is Devil's Whip and its Enchantment is Plucky Persistence. Its starting Boon is Magical Might +4. It can be acquired randomly from any transmuter.
