Egg On, also known as Rabble Rouser, is a skill in the series.

Characteristics edit
When used, it cheers on a fellow party member and gives them a boost to their Tension or supports them in some other way. In the Monsters series of games, Rabble Rouser is a passive trait that will randomly boost the Tension of the entire party by one stage at either the start or battle or at the start of each turn.

Egg On is learned by Gadabouts at level 32 if their Wisdom exceeds 61 points. The skill costs 3 MP and doubles an ally's Attack stat for one turn, stacking with Oomph or the War drum, but not with Muster Strength. It can also be used by the friendly monsters Splatrick, Gobblebert at ★2, Snapper at ★2, and Shiela in the Monster Arena.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies edit
Egg On increases the Tension of a target party member by one level. After the Hero unlocks the Quester's Rest in Stornway, and calls up an NPC friend to join the party, Patty teaches Egg On to the Hero as way of thanks for helping her out in the Hexagon earlier. On the enemy side, Sluggers, Jinksters, and Sluggernauts are able to use Egg On on their allies.

In this game, Rabble Rouser is a passive trait possessed by certain monsters that will randomly boost the Tension of all party members by one stage at the start of battle.

Starting with this game, Rabble Rouser now has the chance to activate at the start of each turn, rather than just at the beginning of the battle.

Dragon Quest Tact edit
Rabble Rouser is known naturally by Diamagon ace at level 1 and costs 28 MP to use. It has a range of up to two squares away from it and raises the Tension of a single ally other than itself by one stage for one turn. Upgrading the skill reduces the amount of MP it costs to use.
