Characteristics edit
The Gallows Giant and his brother are large, muscular humanoids that wear metal helmets, brown shorts, and belts across their bare chests. In battle, the Gallows giant is a centaur-like monster, his lower body being somewhat reptilian or draconic with four legs and a long tail. He has dark brown skin, a mane of purple hair, and purple scales running down its back. He wields a long halberd and carries a sword in a scabbard at its side that remains unused.
Appearances edit
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation edit
The Gallows Giant and his younger brother have guarded the gates of Gallows Moor for over a hundred years, but in truth, they are actually the last survivors of a proud race of giants that were wiped out by the Archfiend. After the party defeats him in battle, he concedes and allows them to pass to speak to his younger brother, who gives them the Jailor's key.
Trivia edit
- The Gallows giant and his brother are a reference to the characters Raiga and Fuga from the martial arts manga Fist of the North Star. They are a pair of giant twins that guard the city of Cassandra and serve the villain Uighur, the Warden. They are initially minor antagonists, but after the main character Kenshiro faces them in battle, he decides to spare them and they join his cause.
