Characteristics

The Garth Goyle is the animated stone protector of Zere Rocks, brought to life by the power of the Fygg that he consumed. It is a winged gargoyle carved from light grey stone, the wings on its back battered and chipped, and it has solid golden eyes. It can protect itself with various spells, along with stamping with its giant foot and attacking with violent tremors.

When the Hero is investigating Zere Rocks, they meet a friendly Slime that explains that Mason carved every stone of Zere Rocks on his own, who nearly dropped dead from the years of work it took. Before his life ended, Mason ate a shining fruit that he purchased in Dourbridge. It was his final wish that Zere Rocks would be protected from ruin. Just as the slime finishes telling the tale, they are interrupted by a loud rumbling outside, which turns out to be the gargoyle. The gargoyle then attacks the party, believing them to be intruders.
