The Grrgoyle is a monster in the series.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

The grrrgoyle is a tall gargoyle with pinkish-purple stony skin, a cruel visage, and tattered wings on its back, said to be the manifestation of human fear. It tears into enemies with its sharp claws, can emit a blinding flash of light from its body, and perform a dance that sends entire parties of adventurers into confusion. In later appearances, it gained an affinity for ice magic and is able to shock characters into inaction, either with a horrifying cry or their glare. The grrrgoyle is part of the Beast family, likely due to its Japanese name, and is a demon in the Monsters series.
