Hero hearts embody the courage necessary to stand against evil and allow any character to walk the way of the Hero.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
A single hero heart is one of the possible rewards for defeating The Almighty in 20 turns or less. It allows any character to bypass the steep pre-vocational requirements of the Hero vocation at Alltrades Abbey, but is also good for only one use.
