The Kingfuchsia is a beginner monster vocation in Dragon Quest VII.
Description[edit | edit source]
The Kingfuchsia is a tropical bird monster that appears to have a flowering plant growing on its body. This vocation offers a slight boost in Wisdom, moderate boosts in Agility and Max MP, moderate drops in Strength and Max HP, and a severe drop in Resilience. Mastering the vocation is required in order to become a Dingbat or a Gripevine.

Resistances[edit | edit source]
In the original Sony PlayStation version, a character that has become a Kingfuchsia has a high resistance to instant death, sleep, dazzle, confusion, Fizzle, poison, and paralysis from ranks 1 to 7. At rank 8, they will gain a slight resistance to Woosh-type spells.[1]
- In the Nintendo 3DS version, a character that has become a Kingfuchsia is very susceptible to paralysis and becoming stunned, and is susceptible to confusion. They will have a slight weakness to sleep, poison, Fizzle, Sap, and instant death spells. They have a slight resistance to dazzle. At rank 8, their susceptibility to paralysis improves slightly and they gain a slight resistance to Woosh-type spells.[2]
Monster Heart[edit | edit source]
In order to become a Kingfuchsia, a character must have a heart in their inventory and go to Alltrades Abbey to change their vocation. A Kingfuchsia heart can be found in the Mountaintop Tunnel in the past or by fighting Kingfuchsias at Burnmont in the Emberdale region and the Grotta del Sigillo in the L'Arca region in the past. They have a 1⁄16 chance of dropping one, which lowers to a rate of 1⁄64 from the second onward.
- In the Nintendo 3DS version, it is easier to obtain a Kingfuchsia heart by creating a custom Traveller's Tablet with a Kingfuchsia as one of the monsters.
