The Kisser is a monster in the series.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Kissers are slug monsters with mottled dark green skin, salmon underbellies, and pink lips that hide blue tongues. In battle, they debilitate adventurers by exhaling out sweet-smelling breath or stunning them with their vile tongues. Starting with Dragon Quest XI, kissers also gained the ability to send out kisses to stun any unfortunate traveler they face and some protective magic to ward themselves and their allies against harmful spells.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
*A trio of kissers are fought alongside Wyatt in the fourth battle at Allblades Arena. They should be taken out first to prevent them from putting the party to sleep with their Sweet Breath. Boomerangs, Whips, and Ruff's wolf abilities will make quick work of them before focusing on Wyatt himself.

- Kisser's original Japanese name, Buchuchunpa (ブチュチュンパ, Buchuchunpa?), is based on the word chu (ちゅっ), which is the Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound of a kiss.
