The metal slime helm is a powerful helmet introduced in Dragon Quest IX as part of a set of metal slime-themed equipment, joining the liquid metal slime and metal king slime equipment introduced in other games. It features an emblem of a metal slime on the front, and offers some protection against Fizzle, Snooze, and Whack.

The guide for creating the helm, Things to do with Metal Goo, is the reward for completing quest #49 in Arboria during the second act. Alternatively one can be obtained by reaching first place in the sandnational Gallopolis horse race, golden cup.
