The Silver cape is a monster in the series.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
The Silver cape is a spirit that consists of a long, ragged silver cloak holding a rusty blue-grey greatsword. It is capable of unleashing powerful techniques in battle such as Falcon Slash and Lightning Storm, as well as blocking enemy attacks with their swords either via a stroke of luck or increasing their chances making it a formidable opponent.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit | edit source]
Silver cape appears as an A-rank monster of the Undead family as part of the limited "Silver Week" event. It is introduced as one of Cogsgrove's oldest friends. The silver cape can be recruited in Episode Two of Lifelong-Performer Silver Cape and it can be fully awakened by completing the quest at normal or hard difficulty.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- In the story scenes for "Lifelong-Performer Silver Cape", it introduces itself to Mindini and Majellan as SilvrCape. This is a reference to the text restrictions that existed in earlier localized games, which meant that monsters and item names had to be shortened in order to fit 9 letters. Ironically, the Silver cape itself is a relatively new monster in the series, having been around since Dragon Quest X's first release on August 2nd, 2012.
