Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit | edit source]
| Game | Description |
| Beat this battle bongo to fire up the fighting spirit. |
When used, the war drum doubles all active party member's Attack power for no MP, making the spell Oomph (which doubles only one ally's attack for MP) obsolete. It can only be gotten after the game is beaten, so it's understandable that such an overpowered item would have gotten to the point where it would be literally useless if it weren't for the superboss, Estark in Nadiria.
Additionally soulspawn and deathsquad will sometimes use them, though they aren't obtainable from either monster.
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition[edit | edit source]
The war drum is dropped by Nimclops in the Hall of Remembrance-Level 2 and it increases the attack of all party members by 25% for 4 turns, acting as a full-party oomph.
