Pazuzu is a satanic simian that first appeared as one of the three strongest demons in Hargon's cult in Dragon Quest II.

Since then, it has shifted from a character to a species of monsters, much like it's fellow demon like Belial.

Dragon Quest Walk[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest Tact[edit | edit source]

Pazuzu appears as a boss of the Demon family during the limited Dragon Quest II event. He can be faced in Chapter 4, Episode 3 of the event quests entitled The Dark Pantheon: Pazuzu, as well as in the Hall of Hargon before facing Hargon and Malroth. Some of Pazuzu's abilities include Cutter-Upper, Snooze, Kasizz, and Kaboom.

Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi[edit | edit source]

Etymology[edit | edit source]

In ancient Mesopotamia, Pazuzu is the name of a demon who was the personification of the western wind and held kingdom over wind demons. He was known for bringing famine during dry seasons and locusts during rainy seasons. Although he is considered an evil spirit, Pazuzu could also be called upon to ward off other malicious spirits, as well.
