The Bewarewolf is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in the original Dragon Quest. It is a wolf beastman with bluish-purple fur.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Bewarewolves are humanoid, bipedal wolfmen. Originally coated with blue fur, new versions are seen in a bluish lavender hue instead. The first members of the Beast family originating all the way back in the seminal title, bewarewolves are monsters that have recently begun to reappear in the series after a several decade absence. The bewarewolf's monster description in IX even makes reference to the fact that they have not appeared in the series in a long time. They wear reddish-brown tunics and boots, as well as a black belt with a red jewel as a buckle around their waists.
