The Clay colonel is a monster that appears in the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VII. It is a variant of the Terracotta warrior that wields a tree branch instead of a sword.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Clay colonels are immense clay warriors clad in armour and a winged helmet, wielding a round shield in their left hands and a large tree branch in their right hands as a weapon. Despite wielding weaker weapons than their terracotta counterparts, the clay colonels are actually more formidable in battle. They are able to soften up the defenses of their enemies with magic, then unleash a bewildering attack that can send the entire party into bouts of confusion. The clay colonels can also land powerful desperate attacks with their crude weapons.
