The Giddy gastropog is a monster in Dragon Quest IX.

Characteristics

Giddy gastropogs are unusual crosses between frogs and snails, having a large purple spiked, spiral shell on their backs. They have a slightly glazed over look in their eyes are are known to try confusing opponents by casting Fuddle. These gastropogs also have a habit of retreating into their spiked shells, making themselves practically impervious to their attackers.
