Lashings of Love is a whip ability in the series.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

This ability typically deals more damage than a normal attack to a single group of enemies. In its original appearance, it was an upgraded version of Whiplash and had a chance of paralysing the enemies struck by it. Starting with Dragon Quest IX, it began dealing extra damage to monsters of the Humanoid family. In the HD-2D Remake games, Lashings of Love can be performed with any weapon equipped.
