The mad mole is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. It is a stronger, ill-tempered variant of the more common mischievous mole with a blue coat and lavender shovel.

Mad mole appears as a D-rank monster of the Beast family. It can be recruited from Chapters 8-4, 11-3, and 11-4 of the main storyline, as well as the Tuskateer Armourer stages from The Beastliest Beast in Bravas Qualifiers at any difficulty during the limited Beast Fest event. The mad mole can participate in the Battle Roads of the bewarewolf and dark sabrecub as a party member.
