Magic beast horn is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is sharp horn lopped off the body of a beast or other monster that is used as a crafting material.

Magic beast horn can be dropped by Knocktopi, Rampages, Claw hammers, Shocktopi, Swinoceroses, Battering rams, Splatterhorns, Seasaurs, and Dreadful drackals or received as a reward for repeating Quest #37: Funghi for a Fun Guy. It can be sold for 62 gold.

Magic beast horn is used as a material for crafting weapons and armour. It can be found in some black treasure chests or dropped by various monsters, including Rhinothropes, Gamigins, Rhinoceraxes, Orobases, and Tortoceratopses.

Magic beast horn can be dropped by Spiked hares, Jowlers, Demonriders, Moosifers, and Prowler jowlers, along with their vicious and malicious counterparts. It can also be purchased from the roving emporium Sniflheim for 440 gold each and sold for 110 gold. Magic beast horn is used in the following recipes for the Fun-Size Forge:

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit | edit source]

Magic beast horn can be dropped by Archdemons and Moosifers or be received from King Flaminio in exchange for 5 Mini medals each. It can also be received as a reward for completing Showdown: Bearded Beast with gold clear time from the second time onward or Grudge Match: Bearded Beast with silver clear time from the second time onward. Magic beast horn can be used to create Nacreous necromonocles and the classic recipes for the Prayer ring and Endure ring in the Alchemy Pot or sold for 120 gold each. Two magic beast horns, along with two magic beast hides, are required to complete Quest #50: Scare Tactics.

Dragon Quest Heroes II[edit | edit source]

Magic beast horn is used as a material for improving various accessories or sold for 120 gold. It can be dropped by Moosifers, Archdemons, and Master moosifers or received in exchange for 7 Mini medals each.

Magic beast horn can be dropped by all variants of the Gigantes and Loss leader or occasionally received by sending a dispatch team to the Redscale Rise area of Cinderback Ridge. It is mainly used for crafting high-level pellets at the Werks or for scouting monsters.
