The Healium balloon is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest VII.
Its name is a play on the term "helium balloon" and its ability to heal its fellow monsters.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Solemn floating indigo-colored spooks that flit about battlefields, looking for fallen fiends to heal and help. They have an orange bull's eye target on their stomachs, giving them their Japanese name. Despite their frightening faces, they've made a life long vow to look after their allies with powerful healing magic. They've even learnt the Kerplunk Dance, giving their lives to save their ailing allies, healing them up to full health.
