The Small fry is a monster in the series.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

The small fry is a tiny, quadrupedal dragon with yellow scales and wings on its back. The membranes on its wings are purple, while they have cream-coloured undersides. It is able to breathe out weak fire or ice breath, which should only be a danger to underleveled adventurers. Due to its colouration, head shape, and horn style, some fans believe them to be the nymph stage or per-adolescent form of Great dragons. In the descriptions of some of the earlier Monsters series of games, it is stated that the Small fry, despite its small size, is actually fully grown. However, its description from The Dark Prince states that there is no official confirmation that it is a hatchling or a fully grown dragon. Its English name small fry is a phrase which can refer to a child, a small or immature fish, or a small and insignificant individual.
