Ultra Death Defier is a monster trait that raises the possessor's resistance to being instantly cut by the Reaper's scythe by 50%.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit | edit source]
Ultra Death Defier raises the possessing monster's resistance to instant death by 50%, stacking with any natural resistance. This lowers the odds of becoming slain on the spot, whether it be through the Whack family of spells or as the bonus effect of another ability. In the latter case only the chances of being snuffed out are lowered, not the accuracy or power of the attack itself. Ultra Death Defier stacks with the effect of Death Defier for a 60% resistance, but this boon can be voided if the enemy has the Ultra Crafty Whacker trait.
Ultra Death Defier is available through the Chiaroscuro Shield, Death Defier, Doomsayer, Hater, and Holy Warder talents.
