This article is about the recurring monster. For the Dragon Quest VII deity, see Fire Spirit.

The firespirit is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in Dragon Quest IV. It is an apparition that specialises in casting Frizz spells.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Firespirits, as suggested by their name, are spirits composed of fire. Lacking a concrete physical form, they can shrug off attacks surprisingly well. They can be tricky opponents for novice adventurers to face as they can quickly outnumber them by multiplying themselves, then set them ablaze with their fire magic. However, their limited magic power often means they're often only able to cast a single Frizz spell. Depending on the game, they are either part of the undead family or elemental family.
