After the assault by monsters serving the [[Mordegon|Lord of Shadows]] on the [[Last Bastion]], [[King Carnelian]] entrusts both the Luminary and [[Hendrik]] to infiltrate [[Heliodor Castle]] and oust the monster sitting on the throne there. The king gives them the sewer key and states that there is a secret path back through the castle from the [[Heliodorian Foothills]] which will lead them back through the sewers. The key will unlock any door that is marked with the golden two-headed eagle of Heliodor.

The Sewer key is an important item in Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.

It will unlock any locked door in the Heliodor Sewers. It is given to the Hero after defeating the Headless Honcho.

After the assault by monsters serving the Lord of Shadows on the Last Bastion, King Carnelian entrusts both the Luminary and Hendrik to infiltrate Heliodor Castle and oust the monster sitting on the throne there. The king gives them the sewer key and states that there is a secret path back through the castle from the Heliodorian Foothills which will lead them back through the sewers. The key will unlock any door that is marked with the golden two-headed eagle of Heliodor.
