The squid kid is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest VIII as the infant form of the King squid.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Squid kids are infantile king squids with smiling faces. They have a dark blue mantle and fins while the rest of their body and tentacles are a light shade of blue. In their left tentacles, they wield a seashell like a club, but spend just as much time doodling in the sand instead of using them as weapons. The squids know how to dance an infectious jig and try to get adventurers to get into the groove with them in battle.
