Due to the removal of all cursed equipment in ''Dragon Quest XI'', the zombie mail actually reduces damage taken from dark-elemental attacks and helps protect the wearer from curses.

A suit of armour with an ominous appearance that has been crafted from the bones of a zombie. Due to the removal of all cursed equipment in Dragon Quest XI, the zombie mail actually reduces damage taken from dark-elemental attacks and helps protect the wearer from curses.
