'''Numpton''' is a minor character and boss that appears in {{DQ7}}.

Numpton is a human wizard and one of the would-be champions at the [[Allblades Arena]] hoping to gain his freedom from the {{MFamilies}}s controlling the arena. He has a dark brown pointed mustache and beard and wears flowing black and purple robes and a pointed hat, as well as a necklace with turquoise jewels. In battle, he has the appearance of a [[Wrecktor (Dragon Quest V)|Wrecktor]], wearing a white robe with a lime green cape and sleeves and a black bat insignia on the front, a white mask with a red jewel that covers his face, and wielding a tall wand topped with a blue orb. He fights alongside three [[Drake slime]]s and casts a variety of different spells in battle.

It is recommended to take out Numpton's [[Drake slime]]s before him as they can damage the entire {{Party 7}} with their fire breath. Equipping either the {{Hero 7}} or [[Ruff]] with a {{Boomerang W}} is a good idea to be able to dispatch the slimes quickly. Numpton is not a difficult opponent to deal with, but his ability to silence or confuse a {{Party 7}} member with [[Fuddle]] can become annoying. If the player acquired a [[Snooze stick]] before the battle, it can make the battle more manageable as both the slimes and Numpton himself can be put to sleep. [[Zev]] can be helpful in the battle by casting [[Bang]] or healing {{Party 7}} members with his [[Midheal]].
