The bamboo lance is a recurring spear in the Dragon Quest series. It is a simple weapon made from a length of bamboo cut diagonally at the end into a sharp point, with that stabbing edge being the only feature to differentiate it from the laundry pole.

The Bamboo lance has an Attack bonus of +6, a Style bonus of +1, and increases the wielder's Weight by 12. It can be equipped by Priests, Martial Artists, Paladins, and Item Masters, as well as Raguas in the Offline version of the game.
