==Characteristics==
Batterflies are monstrous [[Bug family|butterflies]] with a cartoonish, dog-like face with sharp fangs in the center of its body. Their bodies are magenta-coloured with blue mouths, with either blue or purple wings that have spots on them. Its original design had green wings with purple spots. Starting with the Super Famicom version, their wings were changed to purple with green spots on them. In games like ''IX'' and ''X'', their wings are light blue instead with darker blue spots surrounded with magenta circles. The batterfly is known for their troublesome ability to envelop attackers in illusions.
