The Sharphooter is a monster that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest VII.
Its name is a play on the word "sharpshooter", but with the word "hoot" emphasized because of the three owls holding up the enemy.
Characteristics
High flying faeries carried sailing through the skies by sharp beaked, awe inspiring avians. The owls hold them in the perfect position to fire off awesome and accurate shots with lightning fast speed, even being capable of hitting all adventurers in a single burst. That doesn't stop the birds from occasionally dropping the ball, leaving the sky sprites earth bound.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
When the party first arrives to Vogograd, they meet a villager who asks the party to rescue his brother from the forest south of town after finding out that they are adventurers. After finding the man's brother, they are threatened by a group of three Sharphooters who attack the party. Although they have higher stats than normal, they pose no significant threat to a sufficiently leveled party.
