The '''silver mail''' is a recurring suit of armor in the {{DQSeries}} that first appeared in {{DQ5}}. It is a mid-level suit of armour and typically offers some protection against magical attacks.

The silver mail has a {{Defence}} bonus of +40, but offers no protection against magic. The {{Hero 5}}, his {{Parry}}, and [[Tuppence]] may wear it. It can be bought at [[Helmunaptra]], [[Battenburg]], and [[Gotha]] for 4800 [[gold]], and can be sold for either 3600 gold coins (original version) or 2400 gold coins (remakes).

Provides +43 defence, +40 {{Style}}, and reduces magical damage by 8 points. May worn by the {{Hero 6}}, [[Carver]], [[Amos]], [[Terry]], and the Slime recruits. It is sold in [[Clearvale]], [[Felonia]], [[Turnscote]], and is dropped by [[Berzorker]]s.

Silver mail can be purchased from various shops for 9,100 gold coins and sold for 4,550 gold coins. It can also be won as a prize from the Lucky Panel at the [[Casino]].
