The Zombiesbane (also known as Zombiebane, Zombie slasher or Zombie Sword) is a powerful sword in the Dragon Quest series. True to name, it deals extra damage to creatures from the zombie family.
Appearances
Dragon Quest III
The Zombie slasher has an attack bonus of +67. It can be equipped by the Hero, Warriors, Clerics, Dealers, and Sages.
Dragon Quest V
The Zombiesbane has an attack bonus of +80. It cannot be purchased until generation 3 though, at the new Whealbrook shop for 11,500 gold.
Dragon Quest VII
The Zombie sword has an attack bonus of +75 and an appearance bonus of +5. It can be equipped by the Hero, Melvin, and Aira.
Dragon Quest VIII
The Zombiesbane has an attack bonus of +54. It can be upgraded into a zombie slayer and can be equipped by the Hero and Jessica, provided she can use swords.
