Musk is an attractant in the Dragon Quest series.
Function
Musk increases the frequency of Random Encounters. This can be useful for searching for metal monsters or obtaining item drops if you don't have access to Whistle.

In DQ IV. Musk can be purchased for 150 gold coins (and sold for 120) in:
- Dunplundrin
- Canalot
- Rosehill
- The Azimuth
- Pioneer Town (Stage Two-Four only)
They can also be occasionally dropped by:

In DQ V, Musk can be purchased for 80 gold coins (and sold for 40) in:
- Roundbeck (First generation only)
