The Candy cat is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in Dragon Quest VIII. They are typically among the weakest members of the beast family in the titles they appear in.

Characteristics

Candy cats are very large cats with white fur and orange stripes. Their name is derived from their striped fur, which gives it the appearance of a candy cane. They have goofy faces, a long tongue which is often seen trailing behind their permanently open mouths, and a tuft of orange fur on top of their heads. They are quite harmless on their own, sometimes wasting their turn in battle in order to lick their face or roll around.
