The skeleton is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, introduced in the original game. It is the skeletal remains of a fallen warrior brought back from the grave to continue fighting.
Characteristics
Skeletons, are, much like their name would imply, a hostile and occasionally armed skeletons. They wear long grey tunics with brown and gold collars, brown leggings, dark blue gloves and boots, and a belt around their waists with a blue jewel as a buckle. Interestingly, their skulls are far longer than that of a normal human's, to the point that in some 3D games the cranium curves backwards slightly. The crack on their skulls is said to be a wound they received when they were still alive.

Surly spirits of soldiers whose clogs were rudely popped. They rose again, as they still had bones to pick. They remove their skulls and lob them—not-so-living proof that losing your head in battle needn't be a bad thing. |
