Galenholm is a town located in the northwestern corner of Alefgard in Dragon Quest and Dragon Quest Builders. It is named for its founder, Galen who traveled the kingdom as a bard of high renown, and owned the Lyre of Ire. It was preceded by Galen's House, which was present during the events of Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation. It does not appear in Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line along with many other locations in Alefgard. Being located in the far north, its climate is bitterly cold, sometimes even freezing.
