The Iron broadsword is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest series. It was introduced as an intermediate in strength between the Copper sword and the Steel broadsword. In some games, the sword can be improved further.

The Iron broadsword has an Attack bonus of +17, a Style bonus of +3, increases the wielder's Weight by 3, and has an equipment level of 14. It can be equipped by Warriors, Gladiators, Paladins, Armamentalists, Fortune Tellers, Gadabouts, Demon Swordsmen, and Guardians.

  • In the Offline version of the game, it can be equipped by Hussar.

Dragon Quest Heroes II

In this game, the Iron broadsword has an Attack bonus of +21 and can be equipped by Lazarel and Teresa if they are a Warrior or Gladiator, as well as Terry. It can be purchased for 450 gold.
