The Wickerman is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest V. It is an animated candle with a ghastly green flame. Its name is a play on the term "wicker man" and the wicks on top of their head.

Characteristics

Wickermen are anthropomorphic candles made of purple wax that are lit with a green flame on top of their heads. They have a look of mischief on their faces and wield wicked sharp knives in their hands, which they are known to drop after battle. The candles are able to utilize the flame on their head to cast simple fire magic at their opponents.
