The Bronze knife is a knife in the series. It is a basic weapon found early in each game it appears and is often the first knife available.

The Bronze knife has an Attack bonus of +8 and can be equipped by Mages, Thieves, and Gadabouts. It can be purchased from Reeve for 80 gold and sold for 60 gold.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit | edit source]
The Bronze knife has an Attack bonus of +12 and can be equipped by Bianca, Nera, the Hero's daughter, Harry, Slime knight, Restless armour, Blizzybody, Warhog, Moosifer, Pip fighter, and Conkuistador. It is part of Harry's initial equipment. It can only be purchased in Roundbeck during the first generation for 150 gol and sold for 75 gold. Bronze knives can also be dropped by Wax murderers and Wickermen.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit | edit source]
The Bronze knife has an Attack bonus of +12, a Style bonus of +8, and can be equipped by Milly, Ashlynn, Nevan, and Goowain. It is part of Milly's initial equipment. The only other bronze knife in the game can be found in a treasure chest in the Lucid Grotto. It can be sold for 112 gold, but item collectors may not wish to do so.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
The Bronze knife has an Attack bonus of +9, a Style bonus of +8, and can be equipped by Maribel, Ruff, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. However, if Ruff equips it, his Attack actually decreases by 4. It cannot be purchased in any shops, but it can be sold for 75 gold. One is found in the Tower in the past and another in Faraday Castle. Bronze knife can also be won as a prize from the Lucky Panel at the Casino.
- In the Nintendo 3DS version, bronze knives can also be dropped by Wax murderers and Wickermen just like in V.

The Bronze knife has an Attack bonus of +4, a Style bonus of +1, and increases the wielder's Weight by 1. It can be equipped by Mages, Thieves, Minstrels, Dancers, Gadabouts, Demon Swordsmen, and Pirates, as well as Duston in the Offline version of the game. The knife can be made by a weapon blacksmith or with the Fun-Size Forge for a single piece of Copper ore.
- In the Offline version, it can be purchased from each race's starting village for 50 gold.

The Bronze knife is a D-rank dagger that can be acquired as a reward for completing the Daggers: Intermediate level. It has a WIS and max MP bonus of +3 and two slots for Alchemy Effects.

The Bronze knife is Treasure No. 177 in the Weapons 1 category and can be found on the Paternoggin. Its base value is 30,000 gold.
