The Dark robe has a Defence bonus of +74, increases the wearer's evasion rate by 25%, and can be equipped Martial Artists, Thieves, and Gadabouts. One may be found in Cantlin and another in the fourth Treasures n' Trapdoors track in Kol. Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In the original Japanese, the dark robe shares a name やみのころも (Yami no koromo, やみのころも?) with the recurring Shroud of Shadows element first seen in Dragon Quest III, although the piece of clothing is always written out in hiragana, whereas the protective barrier is typically written in kanji instead.
