The Gremlin is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line.
Characteristics
Gremlins are members of the Demon family and are a classic Dragon Quest enemy. They have diminutive childlike bodies with pink or purple skin, a lizard's tail, a small pair of wings on its back, and a tiny pair of blue horns on its head. They are mischievous creatures, their tongues constantly seen sticking out of their mouths, floating about in battle at all times and being capable of casting a variety of different spells and breathing out flames at their opponents. After their initial appearance, Gremlins were relegated mostly to spinoff games in the series until they returned in X, like many classic monsters.
