Cureslimes are a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. They look like healslimes, but with red/magenta colored floats and greenish tentacles, and are capable of casting stronger healing magic on allies than their blue cousins.
Cureslimes can be considered a step up from Healslimes. While the former are typically limited to using Heal, Cureslimes can use Midheal and even Fullheal. Aside from superior curative prowess, Cureslimes are also more passable as combative monsters, though they are still very weak when compared to the other monsters they appear alongside of.
Kind-hearted slimes who care more about curing than killing. Commonly called on by the similarly coloured lethal armour. (extended) They'd love to help travellers with healing spells too, but they're terrified of being told off by uptight king slimes.
Note: Cureslimes are also summoned by Lethal armours for backup.
Cureslimes' ability to heal is the real deal, surpassing even that of healslimes. It is said that a particularly saintly cureslime resides in the human world, healing people and asking for nothing in return
They prefer patching up pals to pugilism. Even healslimes are in awe of their prodigious palliative powers. So hardwired is their healing impulse that they have to resist the urge to fix foes, who often off them first in any case.
