Cureslimes are a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, introduced in Dragon Quest III.
They look like healslimes, but with red/magenta colored floats and greenish tentacles, and are capable of casting stronger healing magic on allies than their blue cousins.
In Dragon Quest VI, a playable Cureslime named Curie can join the player's party after finding him.
Characteristics
Cureslimes can be considered a step up from Healslimes. While the former are typically limited to using Heal, Cureslimes can use Midheal and even Fullheal. Aside from superior curative prowess, Cureslimes are also more passable as combative monsters, though they are still very weak when compared to the other monsters they appear alongside of.

They prefer patching up pals to pugilism. Even healslimes are in awe of their prodigious palliative powers. So hardwired is their healing impulse that they have to resist the urge to fix foes, who often off them first in any case. |
