Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
The White shield has a Defence bonus of +16, Style by +15, and reduces damage taken from fire breath by 10. It can be equipped by the Hero, Maribel, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. It can be purchased in Alltrades Abbey, La Bravoure, and Gröndal for 2,000 gold, and sold for 1,000 gold. White shield can be won as a prize from the Lucky Panel at the Casino.
- In the Nintendo 3DS version, the white shield no longer protects against fire breath damage.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit | edit source]

The White shield has a Defence bonus of +22 and reduces fire damage by 10. The item's description erroneously states that it reduces ice damage, as well. It can be equipped by Jessica and Angelo, as well as Red in the Nintendo 3DS version. It can only be made in the Alchemy Pot and can be mixed to create a Saintess shield. The white shield can be sold for 1,800 gold for the first five sold, 1,260 gold each for the sixth through tenth, then only 540 gold each from the eleventh onward.
