Crackerwhack or Feel the Beat is a hammer ability in the series.

Characteristics edit

This ability deals earth or non-elemental damage to all enemies by slamming the ground with a large hammer. It also often has a chance to either stun or knock the targets down for a single turn.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined edit

Crackerwhack is an enemy-only skill used by monsters like Cyclops and Gigantes, dealing Earth-elemental damage and having a chance to knock down the entire party.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 3DS edit

Known as Feel the Beat in this game, it costs 10 MP to use, dealing 30% more damage than a normal attack and has a 1⁄8 (12.5%) chance to stun all enemies for a single turn. It is learned by Morrie by investing 100 skill points into his Clubs skill.

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies edit

Crackerwhack costs 12 MP to use and deals 160~189 Earth-elemental damage to all enemies. It is learned by investing 88 skill points into the Hammer skill.

Dragon Quest X edit

Crackerwhack costs 8 MP to use, deals 30% more damage than a normal attack as Earth-elemental damage, and has a high chance of knocking back enemies in an area of effect of eight meters around the user. It can be learned by a Gladiator, Paladin, Item Master, Gadabout, and Thief by investing 100 skill points into the Hammer skill. Starting with Version 5.1, hammer skills learned by a Thief have a multiplier of approximately 200%.

Dragon Quest X Offline edit

Crackerwhack costs 8 MP to use, deals 30% more damage than a normal attack as Earth-elemental damage to a single group of enemies with no extra effects. It can be learned by Duston through the Hammers panel in his Character Builder for 10 skill points. The damage can be increased further with Skill-Up Panels.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age edit

Crackerwhack is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Cyclops and Gigantes. It deals earth-Elemental damage to the entire party and has a chance to knock characters down. The amount of damage inflicted is dependent on the monster using it.

Dragon Quest Tact edit

Crackerwhack can be learned by Overkilling machine at level 32, Heavy hood at level 44, and Pruslas at level 56. It costs 56 MP to use, inflicts 250% potency physical damage to all enemies in a radius of 1 around the user, and can rarely stun them, as well. Upgrading the skill increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to use.
