The Silver sabrecats are ferocious members of the beast family that hunt in packs. These monsters are based on the character Chome, who is a white, scar-faced sabrecat who served as an NPC in Dragon Quest X. The big cat proved popular among players, and his fur color became the basis for the silver sabrecats.

Characteristics

Silver sabrecats are the winter-white cousins of the more common Great sabrecats, having adapted to life in boeral climates. Groups of these monsters operate more like wolf packs than lion prides, with even cubs participating in hunts. That is, the ones that first survive being left alone in the wild by their parents to ensure only the strongest live on.

• The silver sabrecats have changed the color of their manes three times, with their debut being white, their appearances in Heroes II being red, and now to blue in XI and Rivals. The change from red to blue was likely to help distenguish them from the red-maned dark sabrecats reappearance in XI.
