The Live lava is a monster in the series.

Characteristics edit

Live lavas are elementals made from molten rock typically found in volcanoes and other high-temperature regions. Their molten bodies grant them either total immunity or resistance to fire damage and explosive spells. In battle, they are able to call for backup from more of their kind and are able to cast Boom or Frizz-type spells. Their monster description in various games state that live lavas are born from the vengeful spirits of people who trip and fall into volcanoes.

Description		Molten masses that frazzle foes feverishly with Frizzle, but won't last long if attacked with ice. The spirits of those who trip and fall into volcanoes. They murder mortals in search of substitutes for their burned bodies.

The player must collect some molten magma by defeating a live lava during Quest #70: Look, Back in Anger, along with a jar of toad oil. The molten magma will only drop after accepting the quest.

Dragon Quest X edit

Live lava appeared from the beginning of the game. They are able to cast Kafrizz, which has a high rate of going haywire.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 edit

Live lava is a C-rank monster of the Material family. It can occasionally be found on the volcanic island, as well as within the resistance base. They specialise in Frizz magic by default.
